You're not lazy. You're just bored.
One of the bigger frustrations with ADHD—both for us and the people in our lives who love us—is how we can browse YouTube or play video games for hours… while we ignore important tasks or even simple stuff like cleaning the dishes.
We’re often perceived as lazy. You might even perceive yourself that way.

Our brains don’t have enough dopamine, so we chase activities that provide it. Fun stuff triggers dopamine production. Boring stuff does not.
Yesterday, I talked about uncertainty and the freeze response.
If I have a list of tasks and can’t force myself to do any of them, sometimes it means there’s no clear best choice. But sometimes, it means I just don’t find any of them particularly interesting. I’m bored.
My whole approach to thriving with ADHD is to follow your passion and work with your ADHD rather than fighting it.
If there’s a task that’s been on my todo list for a while and I can’t bring myself to do it… maybe I just shouldn’t?
